When it comes to tensile strength ratio, it will be greater than 1:12. In terms of normal bars, the increase of yield strength of the bars is done by the loss of percent elongation. However, in the case of Vizag TMT bars, this loss is negligible and the percent elongation values are way higher than normally specified in various International Standards. In the case of Fe500D grade rebars, the UTS/YS ratio values are maintained at more than 1:15 ratio.

Resistance To Ageing
Vizag TMT bars are passed through a specific test that indicates no significant change of strength can occur that could affect the usefulness of these bars.
Superior Corrosion Resistance
Absence of Eutectoid Carbides and pearlite colonies in TMT bars is the reason for better corrosion resistance properties.
Excellent Bendability and Workability
Vizag TMT bars provide tougher outer skin that results in excellent bendability. This reflects higher resistance to low-temperature brittle fracture, which ultimately allows these bars to bend.
Chemical Composition
Vizag Steel has low carbon content made from fully killed steel. Requires less energy for bending as well as re-bending and can be butt welded or lap welded. These bars are composed of virgin steel in Blast Furnace with basic oxygen Furnace through continuous casting route. Rolling is done in state of the art Rolling Mills with the latest technologies.
Testing
A special kind of test called Fatigue Test is carried out on Vizag TMT bars by subjecting to alternate tensile stressing. This particular test is also carried out on bent and angled bars encased in concrete. The results are then obtained by using constant amplitude loading of 200 MPa with maximum stress equal to 0.7x yield strength.
